Yevgenia Nayberg
Nayberg’s story, told in the typewriter’s voice, traces its journey with an immigrant writer from Russia to New York. But now the writer drinks coffee, not tea, and writes in a coffeeshop on a laptop. Finally, he sets it on the curb with a note: Russian Typewriter, Free to a good home. Can it find its own new life in America? Nayberg’s personal experience as an immigrant is reflected in her text and illustrations combined with digital collage.
