Building a tree house with a big brother is the perfect project for a young boy. Until that brother becomes more interested in big kid stuff. But what happens when the power goes out? Neighbors (and even brothers) come together to share simple pleasures on a summer night. Being left behind by an older sibling is a common childhood challenge and here Larsen tells it with tender understanding. Petričić's illustrations add the detail to demonstrate the magic that occurs when the lights go out.
